Tumbledown Freya

Bred & Owned by Mrs Jill Tyler, Suffolk.

Jill was one of the Founder Members of the British Andalusian Horse Society (now BAPSH Ltd) and Tumbledown Frey was born just 3 months before it was formed. T.Freya grew up into a perfect allrounder, competing in hand, under saddle and in harness. Above Jill and T.Freya are pictured out on a pleasure drive through the beautiful woodlands.

Andaluz 42 – PRE Gelding

Bred by Jose Manuel Borrero Cortiz, Huelva, Spain. Owned by Fiona Reynolds, Somerset

Andaluz was imported as a ride and drive prospect, and he fulfilled all that was asked of him. Hacking and driving for pleasure around the tiny lanes of Somerset. At weekends he was washed and polished to a gleaming white, harnessed up in his show harness, and off to all sorts of venues to provide fabulous transport for brides to and from their Weddings. Here is Andaluz pictured in his Wedding turnout looking gorgeous, and so well behaved.

Five PREs make up this competition team and of course they are hitched up in a variety of configurations, team of 4, tandem, pairs, single, in order to meet the occasion.
The horses are EMBAJADOR LIX (stallion), ICARO XLV (gelding), JANTO V (gelding), NOVATO LXXIV (stallion), and  PERDIGON LXIV (gelding).
Danielle competes her PRE driving team all around Europe and the UK. In 2016 they have been competeing at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in England, Paris Ile de France d’Attelage, Chateau de Cuts in France, and the Valkenswaard International in Holland.

Shire x PRE tandem made up of Brecknock Mercury & Brecknock Deacon, half brothers by Bodeguero X – PRE. Mercury’s dam is Epsyke Ruby (Shire) and Deacon’s mother is Brecknock Pearl (Shire).

Romero XXV (formerly Romero 9) – PRE Stallion
Born 22/05/1995. Sire: Uraño II, dam: Romera XVII
Bred by Hrdos.de Manuel Gonzalez de Estrada, Cantabria, Spain. Owned and driven by Mr Geof Shawcross.

Although Romero XXV is now very well known for his achievements in the show ring – twice UK National CH Stallion, and also showing under saddle with Geoff riding, this stallion was originally bought for driving. Here below is one of the few times he competed as a driving horse at the National Championships when held at Three Cos showground in Malvern. This is in fact the Versatility class at the show.
