Wow, this has been a busy, busy year in the BAPSH Ltd registry office, and it seems to have got even busier this autumn. The BAPSH office staff are all worn out and needing some rest & recuperation time over Christmas and New Year so the BAPSH office will be shutting from 2pm Tuesday 19th December 2023 to 10am Thursday 4th January 2024.

Transfers of ownership have been very active all year, especially this autumn with nearly 3 times as many horses being bought/sold in November 2023 as in November 2022. PRE Fusion foal registrations have just about doubled in 2023 which is a great achievement for breeders. It looks like there are lots of PRE and PFH foals due for 2024 BUT there seem to be quite a lot of Covering Certificates for 2023 matings that have not yet been received or applied for so far. Non PRE foal CCs should all have been sent to BAPSH by the Stallion owners by 1st Dec (emailed copies of the Stallion section), and all PRE x PRE matings should have been registered with BAPSH Ltd and CCs requested by 1st December too.

All Foals born in 2023 should now be registered and passported by BAPSH Ltd or at least be started on this process (PRE foals take longer !). UK Equine Law requires all foals to be regisetred by 30th November in their year of birth. If you haven’t done this yet for your lovely foals then please get a move on and get their registrations underway.
